For a short-term Provincetown car rental, your choice is ... Enterprise, Enterprise, or Enterprise. That's it, that's all.
At Provincetown Airport:
From April through November, you can rent a car at Enterprise's desk at the airport.
Off season, your option is to rent through their Orleans office. It's about a half-hour away - but Enterprise says they'll pick you up.
In Orleans MA:
* My advice is to first call the Orleans rental office and confirm that they'll pick you up at the airport. Then, find the best Provincetown car rental rate online, and reserve.
Maybe not.
If you plan to be spend your entire vacation in Provincetown and not venture too far afield, you probably won't use a vehicle often enough to get your money's worth.
P'town is a busy place in the summer. Very busy! Rather than trying to navigate the narrow streets and find (and pay for) a parking spot ...
Those of us in the know prefer to get around the easy way.
We walk, bike or take the shuttle to downtown shopping, museums and restaurants, to the beaches, and everywhere else we want to go.
For travel to other towns on the Cape, there's also a very convenient, inexpensive, public transportation system that runs on a regular schedule.
If you don't really need a rental car ... why not use alternate transportation and save yourself a couple hundred bucks?!
