Drive Time from Falmouth to Logan Airport

Question: Thanks so much for your valuable information. I am wondering how long I can expect it to take to get from Falmouth to Logan on a Saturday morning? I know it's not an ideal time, just wanted an estimate, as that is what the airline stuck me with. Thanks again, Steve.

Dee's Reply: Hi Steve - The drive time between Falmouth and Logan Airport is normally around 2 hours, maybe a little less. But ... Saturday morning traffic back-ups going off-Cape can extend that to well over 2 hours.

In the summer months, Saturday is "change-over day" for vacation rentals. Check-out time is normally 10 a.m. So lots of vacationers are homeward-bound on Saturday morning - and stuck in traffic waiting to get over the bridge.

Depending on what time you have to be at the airport, I'd suggest either:

  • leave the Cape very early on Saturday morning, giving yourself an extra hour or so of travel time just in case traffic is especially nasty; or

  • make your way toward Boston on Friday night, and stay at a hotel at or near Logan Airport.
FYI: Hilton Boston Logan Airport is directly connected to the airport, and the room rates are very reasonable as compared with lodging prices in downtown Boston.
