With so many mini golf courses on Cape Cod, it’s hard to know which one to pick—especially when you’re trying to keep everyone happy without wasting your time (or your money) on a course that’s not quite what you had in mind.
This guide groups courses by what kind of mini golf experience they offer—from toddler-friendly to larger-than-life mini golf.
Whether you're planning a family outing, chasing a little friendly competition, or looking for some good old Cape Cod nostalgia, there's a course that'll hit the mark!
Mini golfing with toddlers or pre-schoolers? You’ll want easy holes, cute distractions, and no drama when the ball goes rogue.
These courses keep it light, quick, and meltdown-free—for little ones and grownups.
Mashpee Commons
44 Steeple Street
Mashpee, MA
This adorable course sits right in the heart of Mashpee Commons—the Upper Cape's mecca for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
It’s bright, easy to play, and has just enough personality to keep things fun and manageable for even the youngest putters.
4180A State Hwy. (Rt. 6)
Eastham MA
This course has an old-school roadside feel—colorful statues, farmyard flair, and a layout that’s just right for younger kids to play without getting overwhelmed.
It’s playful, low-key, and has definitely earned its place as a go-to stop for families, generation after generation. And don’t be surprised if the young ’uns try to pet the statues. It happens all the time!
These courses aren't over-the-top themed, they aren't baby-easy, but they aren't crazy-difficult, either. That's why I call them "just right."
Whether you're golfing with the family or challenging your buddies to a loser-buys-lunch round, these courses will hit the sweet spot.
62 Rt. 28
West Yarmouth MA
With its giant hippo out front and what looks like a downed airplane in the back corner, this course has plenty of visual spunk—and just enough quirk to keep everyone entertained without feeling over the top.
Spin-the-wheel challenge holes add silly twists (like: use only your foot to hit the ball, or complete this hole in silence), which makes the game just as much fun for adults as it is for the kids.
Popponesset Marketplace
259 Shore Drive
Mashpee MA
This course is right in the middle of the action at Popponesset Marketplace—a cool little seaside “village” with boutiques, eateries, and a steady stream of flip-flop-wearing kids juggling their melting ice cream cone.
It’s the kind of place we sometimes swing by for a bite to eat and can’t resist playing a quick round of mini golf before we head home. (Yep, it’s happened more than once!)
9 Sisson Road
Harwich Port MA
One of the newer mini golf courses on the Cape, Bud’s quickly became a go-to for players of all levels, thanks to its nicely balanced mix of easy and more challenging holes.
Bud's draws good-size crowds in mid-summer, but it’s worth the wait if you're near Harwich Port and want to play without trekking to a fancier (and probably busier) course.
455 West Main Street
Hyannis MA
This is Hyannis’s only mini golf course. No gimmicks, just a clean layout with waterfalls, footbridges, and a few sneaky holes to keep things interesting.
Before I’d ever played this course, I'd heard rumors that the 17th hole was a real toughie. Well, I had a hole-in-one on #17 my first time out. Dumb luck? Absolutely! (Did I gloat? You bet I did!)
3580 State Highway (Route 6)
Eastham MA
If you're looking for a mini golf stop that checks off fun course + great food in one shot, this is the place.
Whether you're biking the Cape Cod Rail Trail (which runs right past here) or driving Route 6 through Eastham, this is an easy stop for a round of golf ... and one of Arnold's famous lobster rolls while you’re at it.
The course has some clever holes (putt through a pirate chest, anyone?), and some curves and slopes add to the challenge.
If you're looking for mini golf with a little more “wow” factor, these courses deliver. Big props, big scenery, and larger-than-life obstacles turn the game into something even more memorable.
They're a great choice when you’re in the mood for a little extra spectacle with your putts.
728 Main Street (Rt. 28)
South Yarmouth MA
This place is pure pirate theater, and the theming doesn’t let up for a second. (I refer to it as “Arrrrrgh! overload”.)
You’ll be putting past shipwrecks, ducking under waterfalls, and learning way more about Blackbeard and his cronies than you expected.
Play the front 18 or the back 18, or go all in and play both. It’s fun, it’s raucous, and no doubt someone in your crew will demand a rematch!
15 Canal Road
Orleans MA
The best way I can describe Cape Escape is: it feels like someone plunked a Cape Cod fishing village into a mini golf course. You’ve got a working lighthouse, a giant blue boat, lobster traps, flags, buoys, and a koi pond where the kids (and you!) can feed the fish at the end of your round.
It’s only 18 holes, but there’s enough happening to keep everyone smiling—and the mix of easy and “wait, what?” shots makes it a blast for adults and kids.

These aren’t just mini golf courses—they’re full-on activity hubs.
When you’re up for more than just 18 holes, these spots deliver with enough extra entertainment to keep the whole crew going long after the last putt drops.
1370 MA-28A
Cataumet (Bourne) MA
Cataumet Crossing—home to Cataumet Light Mini Golf—is exactly what you picture when someone says “small-town summer fun.”
Sure, mini golfing is a big draw. But so are the bumper boats, batting cages, arcade, speed pitch… and of course, the ice cream and candy shops.
And for the record? Everyone else seems to have no trouble getting holes-in-one here … except me. Maybe next time’s the charm?!
934 Main Street (Route 28)
South Yarmouth MA
Skull Island's 18-hole course is big, bold, and full of Swiss Family Robinson-themed personality. It’s fun without being frustrating, and just the right mix of kid-easy and grownup competitive.
A driving range, go-karts, batting cages, an arcade, and ice cream shops next door and across the street make this a go-all-day kind of spot.
These mini golf courses have been part of Cape Cod summers for decades. Grandparents remember playing here as kids, and now they're bringing their own grandkids to continue the tradition.
If you'd like to experience some Cape nostalgia, these places will give you that old-timey feel.
119 MA-28
West Yarmouth MA
Putter's Paradise is still pretty much as I remember it from 30-something years ago—spouting whale, big pink octopus and all. (Or maybe it's a squid? I'm still not sure.)
Playing here, you're surrounded with statues of fishermen in yellow slickers, lobster traps, anchors, and so much nautical flair you'll feel like you’ve washed ashore in a 1960s Cape Cod postcard.
I’ve been driving past this course for years, and one day my curiosity finally got the better of me. I’m so glad it did!
The holes at Holiday Hill are relatively simple to play, and the setting is really pretty. Shade trees, blooming gardens, tunnels, and the big blue waterfall at Hole 5 all make for a low-key round with a little bit of old-fashioned Cape Cod charm.
Someone once told me there’s over $10,000 worth of landscaping on this course. And I believe it. If you're there when the hydrangea are in bloom, you'll see what I mean.
5270 Rt. 6
North Eastham MA
If you're looking for a real "retro" experience, a stop at Poit’s is a must.
From the minute you step into the main building, you're surrounded by vintage memorabilia—signs, photos, and the biggest lineup of 1970s-era arcade games and pinball machines on Cape Cod. (I can never resist playing them after our round of golf!)
The 18-hole course is full-on lighthouse-themed, and it's kept in great shape. Bonus: same-session replays are usually free until 4 p.m. Just ask at check-in.
159 Route 6A
Sandwich MA
This course has some of the most creative holes on Cape Cod. I’m talking floating greens, river shots, and putts that send you across little wooden bridges—all along the Cranberry River.
If you're looking for a good time in a one-of-a-kind setting, Sandwich Mini Golf is worth a stop. It’s Cape Cod mini golf with a little personality … and plenty of tradition.
51 State Highway (Route 6)
Wellfleet MA
This is the only mini golf course on Cape Cod where you can sink a putt, grab an ice cream, and catch a drive-in double feature, all in one place. (Seriously, what's more nostalgic than a drive-in-movie?!)
Among the many 1960s-vintage features here: windmills to putt under, one of those frustrating loop-de-loop thingys—and the big, bright blue spouting whale out front. All right there next to Wellfleet Dairy Bar.
These courses aren’t flashy or heavily advertised. (I think of them as “hidden gems.”) They’re casual and easygoing—just like the Cape.
If you’re after a relaxed game in a place that feels more local than touristy, you’ll find it here.
Harbor Lights in Brewster got new owners a few years ago, and it’s still going as strong as ever.
The course is casual, unfussy, and now you can sip a beer, wine, or seltzer while you play. After your round, grab a Choco Taco ice cream sundae and head to the picnic area to wrap things up Cape-style.
*Insider Tip: On the Hole 7, send your ball into the middle chute. Trust me, it works!
This quiet little course is exactly what the name suggests: mini golf in someone's garden.
Susan's Garden is homegrown and full of personal touches that make it feel more like your green-thumbed friend’s backyard than a business.
No flashing lights, no giant mascots … just blooming flowers and shrubs, a friendly cat that occasionally wanders through, and a course that’s unlike anything else on the Cape.
