Dennis MA Fireworks on August 17th


Question: We are renting in Brewster, and I want to know the easiest, most convenient spot that I'd be able to see the Dennis fireworks on Saturday, August 17, 2013.

Are you able to help me with that?

The prime viewing spot for the fireworks will be West Dennis Beach. The parking lot there is quite large. But it'll fill up quickly, probably by mid- to late afternoon.

If you want to watch the fireworks from West Dennis Beach while still avoiding traffic and parking worries as much as possible, then your best bet will be to take the shuttle bus that'll be running back and forth between West Dennis Graded Schoolhouse (67 School Street) and the beach. Shuttle service begins at 4:30 p.m., and it's free.

Although it's a little farther from the action, you should also be able to get a decent view of the fireworks from Smuggler's Beach (a/k/a "Bass River Beach") on South Shore Drive in South Yarmouth.
